Maryland REALTORS has been made aware of a change in MREC license renewal procedures as it relates to CE certification. Effective today (8/17/23), licensees who have not completed their CE requirements or who are not showing necessary CE hours in the renewal portal will no longer be able to self-certify compliance and proceed with renewal. 

If your renewal date is approaching, we encourage you to check your CE status in the license portal and ensure that your coursework is properly reported prior to your expiration date. 

Education providers are not able to view your CE completion status. Please do not contact them before checking your coursework in the portal, or if your renewal date is not approaching. 

MREC will be releasing additional details to real estate education providers shortly. Licensees can look for updates on this change at the Commission’s website, https://www.dllr.state.md.us/license/mrec/
